Yoga Classes

I'm a trained Yoga Teacher and would love to share with you some moments of much needed calm in our busy lives.  I started practicing Yoga a few years back as a way of clearing my mind from the never ending to do list …. and when it worked - I never looked back.

 

Through Yoga Practice I continue my self discovery, the postures of Yoga, the Asanas, learning about our body, mind, the Chakras, Mudras and Pranayama are all part of it.  I have always been interested in having a spiritual connection, a 6th sense, a power greater than me, enlightenment in life - Yoga opens that channel. 

I truly believe we can tap into a very special part of our minds by allowing some space for creation - to receive messages of wisdom.  I invite you to take a little time for yourself, please come and join me to find your special place of calm and tranquility.

I am based in the Putney area of Central London and can travel for corporate committments, residential care facilities etc

Yoga Classes

Yoga is for everyone - my classes are open to everyone.  I welcome people who have never done Yoga before as an opportunity to share a bit of calm into your life, as someone once shared with me.  New students will be gently led into Yoga and will work to their own ability, becoming more confident in practising Yoga from week to week.

More experienced members will be given the chance to explore further progressions to the Asanas, to further enhance their ability and strengthen their spiritual connection through our Yoga practice.  My classes are gentle Hatha yoga.

Yoga is non-competitive, your body and your breath is the measure of practice for each session.  We aim to leave the class with a calmer, clearer mind having experienced some work on breath, Yoga exercise and mindful relaxation.

What to expect?

My Yoga Classes are 75 minutes.  An example Yoga session with me would include initial relaxation, breathing exercises, warm up, main Asana yoga practice and relaxation period or meditation.  The group size can vary between around 2 - 12 people.

What do I need to join?

Please have a Yoga Mat and Water, you may also wish to bring a blanket for your relaxation.  Sometimes we use Yoga blocks and straps, it is not essential to have these.

How do I join a face to face class?

Please contact me for information and to book - there is no complicated system, just a text, email or click on the contact form.  For 5 Lakes you will need to contact their office to book directly.  For Tollesbury Tuesday evenings, I am happy for you to just come along, though it is good if you let me know in advance, so that I can manage numbers and let you know if anything changes.  

How do I join online?​

Please contact me via the form below, or text and I will email you all the information required.  Classes are held on ZOOM video conferencing, you will be given a username, password and support to join with this method.  You will need to use your smartphone, ipad, laptop or PC.

Which class should I join?

My classes are gentle and I do offer progression from beginner upwards.  I can offer a CHAIR YOGA class on zoom upon request, this is aimed at anyone who would like to do some or all of the class seated, or for people with limited mobility.  Please contact me to discuss and please let me know if you are booking, as the class will only run when there are attendees.

Private Yoga Lessons

Private sessions can be booked in addition to your regular Yoga class, as a private 1to1 lesson, private group or corporate session.  It can be an amazing way to tailor your practice to your own goals and desires.  I am happy to plan the session around your specific requirements.

I am available evenings and weekends to teach Yoga lessons in the comfort of your own home.  I aim to bring the calm and relaxation of Yoga into your life.  Yoga strengthens our body and mind, there are healing properties and certainly it relieves stress. 

Corporate - Get moving sessions - Laughing Yoga - Mobility at your desk - Meditation

Now that more people are working from home than ever before, I am offering 'daily get moving sessions', private to your place of work, to get people out of their desks and moving around.  My suggestions is a 15 minute daily online session suitable for all abilities or weekly workplace visit.  Please contact me to discuss.

Group Yoga for Residential Care / Day Centres

Yoga can be tailored for all abilities and I am embarking on a new challenge to teach adults a range of physical and mental ability.  The classes will be calming, including breath work, music, some mobility and certainly meditation.  The benefits for health and mental well-being are proven to enhance everyone's lives.  If you are interested in booking for your facility please get in touch.

Being fairly new to Yoga I was very nervous and skeptical especially experiencing it in a virtual format, I didn't need to worry, right from the beginning Yvonne explained what we are doing and why along with showing us how to adjust any poses to suit our own abilities.  Each session she takes us on a journey allowing me to enjoy the full experience which leaves me with a feeling of peace and calm.
